About Us

MicroSystem Research Laboratory (MSRL) is led by Professor Tzi-Dar Chiueh and is located in Room 329 of the NTU EE-II Building. We focus on signal processing algorithm and implementation related to communication baseband systems. Another emerging research topic is the algorithm and low-complexity circuit architecture/IC design of deep neural networks for learning and artificial intelligence (AI) applications. These topics require knowledge in digital communication, signal processing, neural networks, and IC design. Languages and tools such as C/C++, Matlab, CUDA, PyTorch, and Verilog are used to design the software-defined radio (SDR) demonstration and baseband and deep learning FPGA/ASIC.
